team maintenance

This workshop module focuses on improving group interaction, increasing the familiarity among team members, and providing a venue for focused networking. Often referred to as "getting-to-know-you" workshops, it is critical to a team’s stability to visit common themes and articulate a unified purpose, and to fully integrate new members that may have recently joined the organization. Workshops review past accomplishments and plan future action items—important steps for a team’s overall growth and effectiveness.

A past client once referred to this workshop as automobile maintenance. To ensure that an automobile continues to operate smoothly, the tires must be rotated, the oil changed, the brakes checked (and occasionally replaced), and other routine measures performed. A well functioning team requires similar attention. Without routine maintenance and periodic reflection on the meaning and purpose of a team, failure and breakdowns are sure to follow.

This workshop module is typically delivered in a 4-hour or 8-hour format. EBL adjusts the content based on the specific requirements of each client, adapting language and content to meet predetermined goals and expectations.

High energy, dynamic work groups such as sales forces, construction crews, marketing teams, consulting groups, and other fast-paced professionals enjoy this training format. Workshops may accommodate between 10 - 1,000 attendees.

This workshop enhances communication, fosters insight to individuals’ thoughts and motivations, revisits company purpose and values, and provides a positive environment for process improvement. It is a great addition to annual or regional conferences, new employee orientations, regional retreats, or employee recruitment invitation days.

Key Punch:
This activity is typically done in small groups of 12 - 20 members. It requires the group to accomplish a task of depressing a PIN Code in numbered sequence as fast as possible. Errors and rule violations are monitored. The group has three attempts to score their fastest time with the fewest errors. This activity focuses on communication and delegation of functions along with continuous process improvement.

"Great workshops. Surpassed my expectations. You connected with our employees in meaningful dialogue and transferred the learning’s to our organization."
