Thank you for your interest in the EBL® Training Scholarship. The scholarship was created
in 1998 as a means to assist new professionals in the profession of Experiential Education.
Its purpose is to assist newer professionals attend training and/or conferences as a way to
enhance their professional development. It is the desired outcome that continued training
will assist and generate new and innovative practices within the Experiential Education
profession.
Applications:
Applications will be accepted via United States Postal Service mail only, in the first person. Persons interested in applying for the scholarship should meet the below criteria.
- Be a recent college graduate and new professional with 2 or less years of work
experience
- A cover letter seeking application consideration
- Current resume
- 3 references
- Draft outline of how scholarship money will be utilized if received
- Any other supporting documentation pertinent to the application process
- US citizen
Scholarship money will be award in a lump sum payment directly to organization
providing training, conference, workshop, or equivalent. Scholarship money may be used
for registration and/or room and board fees; travel expenses excluded.
The EBL® Training Scholarship will be award annually in the amount of $500 USD.
Deadline for submission is applications received by EBL® during regular business hours on or before July 1 by 5 PM CT. The successful applicant being notified by August 1.
Review, Acceptance, Award:
All applications will be reviewed. Full and complete applications will be accepted and placed into
a lottery drawing. The drawing will be conducted mid July with the successful applicant
being notified by telephone. Scholarship money must be used within 9 calendar months of
award date or the money will revert back to the scholarship fund.
Experience Based Learning® or employees and agents for organizations in which Experience Based Learning®
has partnership arrangements with are not eligible for consideration. Past recipients of the award are eligible to apply 2 years after their particular award date.
