FREE Training
Fall 2004

Experience Based Learning, Inc.® will be conducting the 2nd annual FREE training for experiential professionals this fall. Last year's training was comprised of 16 professionals from across the United States, many of which are still in contact with EBL and actively working in the industry.

"This opportunity for professionals is unequaled by any other organization. It stands for our commitment to give back to the industry and help other professionals advance their skills and craft of group facilitation. The offering helped us reach over $50,000 in offerings and/or scholarship funds since 1997. EBL stands to continue this offering in the years to come as a gesture to give back to the industry."

Skyline Eco-Adventures
Hawaii Ecotourism Association
2004 Eco-tour Operator of the Year

Experience Based Learning is proud to be the general contractor / ropes course vendor for this exciting new adventure trend in the United States. EBL arrived in Maui, Hawaii to install the course for Skyline Eco-Adventures in December of 2002 after a site visit and planning trip in July of the same year. To date, over 12,000 persons have participated in the course and provide "rave and positive" reviews. EBL built the second and third courses of its kind in Kauai Hawaii and continues to be the lead contractor / vendor for this new adventure. EBL has installed over 30 lines ranging from 150 feet to over 900 feet long in the past 18 months and conducts ongoing testing, specially designed pulleys, and materials break testing to provide critical operation information back to the operators. This extensive research makes EBL the most experienced vendor for zip line eco tours. EBL was back in Maui, August 2004, to install additional zip lines and a new 150' walking bridge which will become part of the tours.

"This new adventure tour serves to educate participants on specific ecology and environmental concerns for each course area. Guides travel with participants to monitor all aspects of safety and to oversee all safety features. Further, EBL travels back on a regular basis for staff refresher training, course inspections, and further research and development. With most of the soft goods such as harnesses and safety lanyards break testing at over 6,000 lbs and actual course cables and pulleys break testing between 14,000 - 26,600 lbs., participants can sit back and enjoy the tour knowing that safety is always being monitored by trained staff and a general contractor / ropes course vendor that is the leader in this new industry."
