key trainers

Steven Gustafson, MS
Principal, Instructor / Trainer

Steven has been providing experiential learning programs since 1984, serving organizations, adults, colleges and high schools. He received his post graduate degree in Experiential Education. His creative workshop designs have taken him across the country to deliver dynamic programs and processes for many progressive organizations (See Clients). His primary focus has been on Experience-based Training and Development (EBTD). EBL, Inc. custom designs every program and fine tunes the results to meet the demanding needs of competitive corporations. While Experience Based Learning programs are fun in nature, Steven believes that unless you are able to make a direct transfer to the work environment, then the experience did not achieve its full impact.(Click here for a more detailed biography)

"I believe that everyone has hidden potential. If placed in a creative and engaging environment, individuals are more apt to recognize these hidden potentials and apply them to their everyday lives. The medium of activity-based learning in team building courses and other adventure exercises all utilize ‘learning by doing,’ which incorporates the three learning styles of audio, visual, and tactile. The direct transfer of these newly found potentials, to work and/or personal interactions, is critical and is what we are about. This separates EBL, Inc. processes from recreation."

Mr. Keating graduated in the top one percent of his class from the University of Maryland, College Park. After graduating he joined NCR Corporation as the Mid-Atlantic Region’s most sought after candidate. From NCR, David went onto earn his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School; after graduating from Harvard, he joined Twain Associates, Inc. With Twain, David analyzed dozens of companies in numerous industries and began to develop the fundamental principles of the Teamwork Resolves Conflict Process.

From Twain Associates, David joined Signet Banking Corporation to implement a prototype version of the TRC Process. Excited by the opportunity to bring these principles to a broader audience, David joined EBL to offer clients the TRC Process through individualized executive coaching and team building consulting.

"It is clear that success requires the ideas of everyone on the team, and it is the responsibility of the Team Leader to draw out ideas of all team members, not just the ones that naturally get along well with others."
