Established in 1996, EBL provides consulting services to organizations that demand results for their training investments. Our consultants have varied and extensive business experience in the financial services, information technology, pharmaceutical sales, and other industries. Each has more than 10 years of experience in consultative services. Accumulatively, we are experts in training and development, consulting, counseling, adventure education, and business process improvement. EBL® services are purposeful and design driven. Our consultants deliver custom-designed programs that are meaningful to your particular organization, and they often exceed client expectations. Further, EBL® is listed with Dun & Bradstreet, enabling trusted business-to-business commerce.

How We Work:
EBL training modules dovetail many different learning mediums together to help your organization achieve its goals. First, EBL® is careful to balance the excitement of program activities with thorough up-front intakes and assessment information that help us to address your organizations specific goals. During the workshops, we incorporate a wide array of assessment instruments, problem-based learning situations, and solution-based models. Our workshops are peppered with many different models for success to ensure multiple learning opportunities for program participants. Using this variety of learning techniques, our programs foster team building, improved leadership, effective problem solving skills, and sustainable change. Most importantly, we make sure that our programs foster learning and create new or improved skills that are directly transferable to the workplace; it is this that separates EBL® services from other training providers.

Research documents that traditional lecture style training formats have, at best, an information retention rate of 25%. Training platforms which engage participants to contribute to the lesson plan and "learn by doing" have retention levels that reach upwards of 75%. We are able to provide active training sessions for groups of all sizes for single day team building or more sustained multiple day initiatives. Services may be delivered in a host of formats or venues.

Ropes Challenge Course Services:

Since 1984, EBL founder, Steve Gustafson, has been conducting and participating in adventure education programs, ranging from community college biology, forestry & geology courses, whitewater canoeing trips, camping, rock climbing, summer camp programs, and ropes challenge courses. His employment background includes program services, commercial ropes course services, non-profit programs for youth in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey, corporate team building workshops, YMCA summer camps, municipal park districts, disabled skier programs, Boys & Girls Clubs, and university programs. Since the creation of EBL in 1996, our ropes courses services have always had an eye towards smart construction that complimented programs. It is our belief that a program makes the course rather than the course making the program. Canopy Tours:

Since 2002, EBL has been the premier installer (and first installer) of zip line / canopy tours in the United States. Having installed the country's first tour in Maui Hawaii, the second, third and forth tours in Hawaii, the first tours in Alaska and Idaho, and consulted and coached other tour locations in Washington, Texas, Colorado and in Newfoundland Canada, no other company retains the level of expertise and 'hands-on" working knowledge for the successful and operational tours. EBL also owns and operates its own tour in Kauai Hawaii, providing us unique insights beyond mere construction. Having our installed tours experience well over 500,000 zips with out safety concerns, our practices and construction methods have become the industry standard, by which other companies now emulate.
